Is Cerebrolysin Better Than VIP for Mold Illness and CIRS?

I argue that using Cerebrolysin in Mold Illness and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) could be better than VIP.

Here, I argue that using Cerebrolysin in Mold Illness and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) could be better than waiting at the (impossible?) finish line to use Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP).

Background: VIP is a neuroregulatory peptide found in the brain of healthy individuals at 23-63 pg/mL with receptors in the hypothalamus.

VIP acts as a hormone-type-cytokine.

VIP regulates peripheral (body) cytokine responses and multiple systemic inflammatory cascades (non-exhaustive).

Over 95% of individuals with Mold Illness and CIRS have low levels of VIP; the same goes for alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH).

VIP replacement, using exogenous intranasal sprays of VIP, is the current standard protocol for returning Mold-Illness and CIRS individuals to everyday life.

However, this can be contended with.

First of all, let us discuss why VIP may not be the total sum answer for repairing the brain atrophy in Mold Illness and CIRS:

  1. As industry founder and expert Dr. Shoemaker states, VIP must only be taken when an individual’s inflammatory markers return to normal.
  2. Not just a few inflammatory markers but all.
  3. This includes C4a, MMP-9, C3a, alpha-MSH, VEGF, and other notable specialised markers important in Mold Illness and CIRS.
  4. Many individuals struggle to achieve this feat, which many never make.
  5. If an individual does manage to normalise every inflammatory marker, this can take years.
  6. People are, therefore, left in limbo and become stuck.

Due to the above points, frustration can occur, which prompts individuals to ‘rush’ to the end, taking VIP before assessing that all their inflammatory markers are low: this is entirely dangerous.

  1. Dr Shoemaker astutely states that VIP must only be taken in the referenced framework because if taken otherwise, VIP can, in fact, set an individual ten steps back.
  2. VIP has been proven to correct CIRS in the right setting, as stated in Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide (VIP) Corrects Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) Acquired Following Exposure To Water-Damaged Buildings.
  3. But, if an individual is trying to work through CIRS solo, or their practitioner has not accurately assessed their markers, misusing VIP will drive the immune system into more of a T cell exhaustion and further cause a catastrophe.
  4. Especially for those soloing CIRS, who have not come across this information before, will be lost, thinking: “But I have tried VIP, and now I’m feeling worse?”

VIP at the wrong time will drive:

  1. T cell exhaustion.
  2. Immunosenescence.
  3. An aged immune system phenotype.
  4. Stimulation of the inflammatory Th2 and Th17 sides of the immune system.
  5. Suppression of Th1 immunity.
  6. Reduced metabolism.
  7. Suppress Natural Killer cell activity, i.e. you lose your ability to destroy pathogens and toxins.
  8. Vicious cycle of autoimmunity.
  9. Stimulation of mast cells and their degranulation of histamine (there are VIP receptors on mast cells).

So, is VIP worth the risk?

Will VIP make you feel better or worse?

Are you okay with VIP's possible failure to work for you, which would make you forever susceptible to future mycotoxin exposure?

Whilst I am pro-VIP, I don’t think the regime should be followed blindly.

I prefer to use a different method when using VIP, which is slowly microdosing VIP using dilutions of 1/100.

Furthermore, by utilising other regimes and peptides, endogenous (natural) levels of VIP within the body will usually normalise as hypothalamic inflammation decreases.

With all things considered, why might Cerebrolysin be the better option?

Background: Cerebrolysin is a peptide consisting of a non-lipid mixture of free L-amino acids and neuropeptides of low molecular weight that are purified via enzymatic proteolysis from the brains of young pigs.

Cerebrolysin also contains magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and selenium.

Cerebrolysin is primarily administered via self-injection or can be megadosed via intravenous therapy at clinics, such as our clinic, Nūutro, based in Mayfair, London.

  1. Cerebrolysin is one of the most well-studied peptides for treating neurodegenerative.
  2. Cerebrolysin is an approved medical treatment in over 44 countries, mainly Europe and Asia.
  3. Cerebrolysin was created in 1949 by an Austrian Professor, Gerhart Harrer.
  4. Cerebrolysin is low-weight, meaning the neuropeptides are no larger than 10,000 Daltons. This explains why it can effectively penetrate the blood-brain barrier and directly exert regenerative effects on the brain.

For this article, I will not write a 1000+ word study on Cerebrolysin but rather a brisk review of why Cerebrolysin is a better option than VIP for resolvingis a better option than VIP for resolving Mold Illness and CIRS.

If you'd like to become more acquainted with Cerebrolysin in depth, then I suggest you do your own research.

There are amazing studies and meta-analyses out there.

Why Cerebrolysin > VIP:

  1. Cerebrolysin can be used at any time during someone’s Mold Illness and CIRS journey and is not dependent on low inflammatory markers.
  2. Cerebrolysin shows little risk when compared to VIP.
  3. Cerebrolysin invokes compounding effects, not diminishing returns, which is the opposite of VIP.
  4. Cerebrolysin could be used to ‘heal’ hypothalamic inflammation, thus naturally allowing VIP normalisation.
  5. Cerebrolysin is more accessible for individuals who self-direct their Mold Illness and CIRS journey; for example, Cerebrolysin can be used solo without massive risk or causing further detrimental effects.
  6. There is no ‘wrong’ time to use Cerebrolysin.
  7. There is no ‘forever’ risk of being susceptible to mycotoxins after unknowing incorrect use of Cerebrolysin.

Cerebrolysin: “… supports endogenous regeneration processes, mimics the behaviour of neurotrophic factors and modifies their level, affects the Sonic Hedgehog protein’s signalling pathway, protects from the pathological events and cascades which stem from an injury or a neurodegenerative disease, reduces amounts of free radicals as well as pro-apoptotic enzymes, modulates inflammatory response and also affects neuroplasticity and neurogenesis.” as stated in Cerebrolysin – mechanism of action and application in psychiatry and neurology.

In summary, Cerebrolysin:

  1. Reaches the neurovascular unit.
  2. Small enough to pass the blood-brain barrier (BBB).
  3. Acts directly in the brain and its neuronal tissue!
  4. Final destination for Cerebrolysin is the neurovascular unit, which consists of:
a) Blood vessels with endothelial cells.
b) Pericytes and extracellular matrix components.
c) Neurons.
d) Microglia cells.
e) Oligodendrocytes, astrocytes and myelin sheath.

Cerebrolysin has 470+ studies on PubMed published at the time of this writing.

This is incomparable to the small amount of studies stating the benefits of VIP for Mold Illness and CIRS by an order of magnitude.

Cerebrolysin is commonly used in:

  1. Stroke.
  2. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
  3. Dementia.
  4. Alzheimer’s.
  5. ADD/ADHD.
  6. Parkinson’s.

Based on those use cases, you can speculate how helpful Cerebrolysin could be in aiding the recovery of a moldy brain.

WHERE TO BUY cerebrolysin FOR MOLD ILLNESS, TOXICITY AND CIRS?

You can actually go straight ahead and purchase Cerebrolysin straight from Limitless Life Nootropics using my code JESSICALANA.

But my code works for 15% off site wide!

Limitless Biotech are best for orders in the USA, UK, Canada and worldwide.

I personally know and havemet Dr Joe, Cody, Chris and the team at Limitless Life Nootropics, and they're wonderful human beings doing an excellent endeavour.

If you check my social media, you can see that I've visited the Pensacola lab in Florida a few weeks ago (June 2024).

All of their peptides are made and manufactured in the USA, manufacturing begins in Las Vegas, packaging in Florida.

All peptides have been rigorously third-party tested in an FDA-approved testing lab.

However, if you are based in The Middle East, Asia and EU, such as Dubai, then I recommend DN Lab Research.

Again, I personally know and work closely Dean from DN Lab Research.

DN Lab Research source their peptides exclusively from Limitless.
