The FDA Banned Compounding Pharmacies Producing Peptides: What This Really Means.

What does the new FDA ban on peptides really mean? Are peptides still legal, and if so, where can you now get a reliable source of peptides?

As of the 6th of October 2023, the FDA put some peptides off-limits for compounding pharmacies to prescribe under section 503A.

Yep, the FDA updated the list of bulk drug substances nominated for use under Section 503A.

Notably, the FDA banned:

• GHK-Cu.

• BPC-157.

• CJC-1295.

• Epitalon.

• KPV.

• Selank.

• Semax.

• Thymosin Alpha-1.

• AOD-9604.

• LL-37.

• Dihexa.

• Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide.

• Kisspeptin-10.

• MOTs-C.

• Thymosin Beta-4.

And, guess what? The FDA also banned L-Theanine, the harmless amino acid that is the active proponent of green tea...

So, what is the big deal, and what does this really mean?

Does this impact individuals looking to continue their use of peptides?

And if so, does this make peptides illegal and where can you still buy top-quality peptides?

Well, I'll answer all these questions below.

The FDA Banned Compounding Pharmacies Prescribing Peptides: Not The Peptides Themselves.

Quite frankly, the FDA put a lot of the peptides into Category 2.

The only peptide left in Category 1 was GHK-Cu.

While the FDA definitions of Categories 2 and 3 don't state overtly that substances in those categories may not be compounded, they do state that the FDA has the power to take regulatory action against pharmacies using those substances.

And, just because many peptides have been moved to Category 2 doesn't mean they're illegal by any means.

All this new regulation means is that the FDA has made it a lot harder for you to get a prescription for peptides from your compounding pharmacy.

That is it.

So what does Category 2 of the 503A act really mean?

Well, in the FDA's eyes, the risk of using those peptides outweighs the medical benefits of these substances, hence the need for regulation.

For many of us, this has come to be a huge shock.

How can something as simple as a specific set of amino acids pose high risks to human health?

Especially since peptide substances have grown in popularity recently and peptide protocols were seen as a safe way to improve health and fitness.

On top of this, it was evident that the clinic's using peptides provided a professional way to evaluate the individual before their peptide prescription to ensure safety and efficacy.

So, what is the FDA thinking?

The Role of The Lobbyist

Come on, we all know how the pharmaceutical industry works.

You wouldn't be on this website or searching for peptides if you didn't.

It's safe to say that this change in the FDA's rule on peptides aligns closely with the pharmaceutical industry's interests, which leads to speculation about their influence.

If peptides help people so much, which they do, then the same people won't need to rely on the pharmaceutical industry's drugs.

So, what do they do? Ban peptides.

It is a tale as old as time.

What else is strange is that even though each and every one of those peptides mentioned above has different effects, they were all hurdled into the same Category 2 for the same universal reason.

Seems suspicious, hey?

The Legalities of Peptides

Currently, the FDA has not declared it illegal for pharmacies to obtain peptide substances.

And peptides are not illegal.

All the FDA has done is make it hard for doctors to prescribe peptides from compounding pharmacies officially.

Furthermore, the sourcing of my peptides and the only sources I endorse, Limitless Life Nootropics and DN Lab Research, are not banned by the FDA.

Upsurge in Black Market Peptides

Now, because of the ban on peptides from what was previously considered a safe source, AKA compounding pharmacies, the FDA has actually driven many people to take to the black market, which is a disservice to the people they're meant to be keeping safe.

Black market peptides can be scary.

Now more than ever, getting a good, safe and reliable source of peptides is crucial.

Most of the population has lost their safety net.

Where Now Can I Source Reliable Peptides

Honestly, there are only two peptide companies I endorse.

Limitless Life Nootropics and DN Lab Research, both companies and CEOs, know each other well, too; we're all closely knit together in the same community.

Ordering from which one depends on where you are based and shipping into.

Limitless Life Nootropics is recommended for the USA, Canada and that region, alongside the UK.

DN Lab Research is the best for Dubai, The Middle East and European countries where it is tricky to get things into.

I personally know Dr Joe, Cody and the team at Limitless Life Nootropics, and they're wonderful human beings doing an excellent endeavour.

All their peptides are made in an FDA-approved USA lab in Las Vegas.

Again, I personally know Dean from DN Lab Research.
