If you've been diagnosed with Mold Illness and Toxicity or Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), you know how hard it can be to regain your life.

There just seems to be so many supplements.

So many prescriptions. So many steps. So many months of trial and error

And things can get overwhelming very fast.

Look, I get it.  Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS is a lifelong journey, and it's not an easy one.

But have you ever considered Peptide Therapy?

As a way to not only fight the fungi but control your inflammation, turn your brain back on, and more?

Well, if you have, great!

This Library Piece will be a fantastic read, and you'll also find the best source of USA-lab-produced peptides endorsed by myself and loved by my community.

I personally know Dr Joe, Cody and the team at Limitless Life Nootropics, and they're wonderful human beings doing an excellent endeavour.

All of their peptides are made in an FDA-approved, USA lab out in Las Vegas.

However, if you are based in The Middle East, such as Dubai, then I recommend DN Lab Research.

Again, I personally know Dean from DN Lab Research.

And if you haven't, and you're new to peptides, you will be amazed by their wondrous capability.

I'm a big fan of Peptide Therapy and I have successfully used peptides in my practice when working with my Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS clients.

And the great thing is that peptides can be introduced at any stage.

Peptides are also low risk, due to the fact that they're just simple amino acids 4-50 in chain length with a peptide bond.

Yep, peptides are just the building blocks of proteins.

So, whether you've already embarked on a treatment protocol, are midway through one, or are just beginning your journey to recovery, Peptide Therapy is a promising addition to your treatment plan.

As we all know, Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) stands out as the champion in the Dr. Shoemaker protocol, but there's a lot more to the story.

Whilst everybody who works with Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS should be using VIP, it's essential to recognise that various other peptides can be vital in your healing journey.

In this article, we'll be discussing the uses of:

• BPC-157.

• KPV.

• Thymosin Alpha-1.

• LL-37.

• VIP.

In the treatment of Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

WHAT IS BPC -157 AND HOW DOES IT WORK FOR MOLD ILLNESS, TOXICITY AND CIRS?

BPC-157 is a peptide that consists of a sequence of 15 amino acids.

BPC-157 originates from a protein that protects our digestive tract, the Body-Protecting Compound (BPC).

Scientists isolated BPC-157 from human gastric juice and have used it to enhance regeneration and speed up natural healing processes.

In summary, the primary mechanism of action seen in BPC-157 is the creation of new blood vessels, a process known as angiogenesis.

Well, BPC-157 increases the activity of critical healing factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).

VEGF is a substance made by cells that stimulate new blood vessel formation and increases blood flow in the capillary beds.

Without VEGF, you won't have blood flow, and without blood flow the cells begin to starve and don't work correctly.

And, you guessed it.

Individuals with Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS always have a deficiency in VEGF, which their abnormal blood markers can quantify.

One of the main reasons those with Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS are in a lot of pain and unable to heal correctly is because of lack of VEGF, which ultimately causes capillary hypoperfusion.

Reduced VEGF leads to fatigue, muscle cramps and shortness of breath.

So, using BPC-157 is an excellent way to correct abnormal VEGF levels.

BPC is also a neuroprotective compound, allowing for the regeneration of vital brain nerves and protecting neurons from damage.

In particular, it can even reverse damage induced by a traumatic brain injury.

Structural brain abnormalities are often seen in those with inflammatory conditions such as Mold Illness, so this is a great cross-over.

BPC-157 also positively alters the Gut-Brain Axis.

Research shows that BPC-157 rebalances serotonin and dopamine within the brain plus calms vagal tone.

Those with mold will also understand how Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS lead to a 'Leaky Gut' due to a reduced alpha-Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone.

BPC-157, of course, is touted for its miraculous ability to heal the gut, and its gut healing ability is its major backer within the research.

BPC-157 is one of my favourite overall peptides.

BPC-157 ticks every box and is an excellent peptide to start with, and especially great for Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

There is a lot more research, facts and benefits of BPC-157 that I could go into, but that's why I made this sole Library Piece dedicated specifically to help you learn and understand about BPC-157 which you can find here.

WHAT IS KPV AND HOW DOES IT WORK FOR MOLD ILLNESS, TOXICITY AND CIRS?

KPV represents a tripeptide (consisting of 3 amino acids) situated at the C-terminal extremity of a larger naturally existing melanocortin peptide hormone within your body, recognised as alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH).

α-MSH is an incredibly important neuroregulatory peptide.

As discussed in the section about BPC-157, those with Mold Illness, Toxicity, and CIRS have an absolute wipeout of alpha-MSH.

This happens for many reasons, such as the mycotoxins and MARCoNS, and you can check out my Biotoxin Pathway on my Got Mold? for more information on this pathway.

But overall, having little to no alpha-MSH is critical.

In Mold Illness, MSH will be too low in over 95% of individuals.

This means increased susceptibility to Mold Illness, ongoing fatigue, pain, hormone abnormalities, mood swings, and much more.

Without MSH, bad things happen; chronic sleep disorders with non-restful sleep develop, and endorphin production is reduced, so chronic pain follows.

So, why would we need to use KPV in Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS?

As I said, KPV is an analogue of alpha-MSH, meaning KPV can act like alpha-MSH in the body, therefore mitigating the lack of alpha-MSH in Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

In fact, KPV was identified as the "minimum effective sequence" required for α-MSH to manifest its anti-inflammatory attributes.

KPV has been studied as far back as 1984.

Many more studies later, KPV was concluded to "exert a similar or even more pronounced anti‐inflammatory activity as full‐length α‐MSH."

Despite KPV being the functional component of the α-MSH molecule accountable for its anti-inflammatory effect, both KPV and α-MSH address inflammation through related but distinct mechanisms.

KPV is particularly effective because this process directly happens inside your cells.

So, many issues are resolved by using KPV to correct low alpha-MSH levels in Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

Of course, this isn't the only way to increase alpha-MSH in the body when it comes to mold, and KPV shouldn't be treated as an end answer.

Obviously, the end goal is to kill, bind, and remove the mold and other pathogens from the body to recover alpha-MSH levels naturally.

But this can work in the short term.

WHAT IS THYMOSIN ALPHA-1 AND HOW DOES IT WORK FOR MOLD ILLNESS, TOXICITY AND CIRS?

One of the most recognised consequences of Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS is a decline in immune function.

Individuals grappling with Mold Illness are confronted with the harsh reality of an already compromised immune system, primarily attributable to their genetic constitution involving the HLA-DR gene.

This genetic predisposition renders their bodies incapable of accurately 'identifying' the mycotoxins present and initiating the requisite antigen cascade.

Consequently, those affected find themselves in a persistent state of innate immunity activation, with their immune system consistently in the 'on' position.

In other words, they're completely and totally inflamed.

Until recently, we had no way to conquer this other than to take someone right the way through the treatment plan, which can take months of trial and error.

However, thankfully, due to Thymosin Alpha-1 peptide, we can begin to regulate, improve and increase their immunity.

Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA-1) is a 28-amino-acid peptide that is naturally produced in the thymus gland, which itself is responsible for regulating the immune system.

The thymus gland is also where T-cells are developed, fully matured, and released into your lymph system or blood vessels to identify, isolate, and combat foreign invaders like mycotoxins.

Thymosin-Alpha-1 is what 'signals' the T-cells to be released from the thymus gland.

Thymosin Alpha-1 was discovered in 1997 when scientists Allan L. Goldstein and his colleagues were investigating if the thymus gland's immune-boosting impact was hormonal in nature.

Thymosin Alpha-1 peptide is so powerful that it enhances immunity, even with a severely compromised thymus gland, which would be the case for someone with Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

Thymosin Alpha-1, is actually an FDA-approved prescription drug known as Zadaxin (thymalfasin) that is manufactured by SciClone Pharmaceuticals.

There are multiple ways that Thymosin Alpha-1 enhances the immune system:

• Stimulating the production of cytotoxic T-cells.

• Activates natural killer (NK) cells.

• Enhancing the maturation and differentiation of dendritic cells, the antigen-presenting cells that don't work during Mold Illness.

• Restores the optimal balance between Th1 cells and Th2 cells.

Excessive Th2 dominance leads to a deficiency of immunity and is often associated with chronic fatigue, oxidative stress, and the possibility of chronic ico-infections during Mold Illness.

With over 750 search results on PubMed dating back to 1979, and being tested on 3000 patients ranging from 12 months old to 101 years old, there’s no denying that Thymosin Alpha-1 has been thoroughly investigated since its initial discovery.

As you can see, Thymosin Alpha-1 is a great addition to any Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS protocol.

WHAT IS LL - 37 AND HOW DOES IT WORK FOR MOLD ILLNESS, TOXICITY AND CIRS?

We can encounter some significant issues when using antifungals for mold illness, toxicity, and CIRS.

The first one is resistance. The second one is sensitivity.

An individual being sensitive is a whole different story.

However, mold can be highly resistant to Nyastatin, Fluconazole, and Itraconazole.

MARCoNS has even acquired multiple antibiotic resistance, hence why the MAR stands for Multiple Antibiotic Resistant.

Fortunately, a little-known therapeutic peptide called LL-37 is an effective antimicrobial treatment that neither mold nor MARCoNS can become resistant to.

LL-37 is a 37-amino-acid peptide directly derived from the C-terminal of a larger protein in your body known as a cathelicidin, which simply refers to an antimicrobial peptide that kills foreign micro-organisms via membrane disruption.

Mucosal epithelial cells, neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, mast cells, NK cells, T and B lymphocytes, adipocytes, and keratinocytes produce peptide LL-37.

So, this peptide is released by all the good guys you want to fight the mold!

How great is that?

LL-37’s primary mode of action involves a direct attack on the cell membrane of the pathogen it is targeting.

The second part of LL-37 exerting its effects on an organism involves the immune system.

Finally, the simultaneously pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory pathways can both be triggered by LL-37.

LL-37 was discovered in 1996, and since then, there have been more than 1700+ research papers on LL-37 on LL-37 on PubMed.

LL-37 has been primarily tested against two types of fungal infections that we see in Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

The first one is Aspergillus fumigatus, whereby LL-37 could inhibit infection in a study via multiple paths of action.

The second one is Candida albicans, which has been studied more extensively.

In this case, the primary path of action involves binding to the cell wall of the fungal pathogen.

LL-37 has many unique abilities.

LL-37 can also heal gut dysbiosis, treat wounds, and fight viruses.

You can see why LL-37 is a great arrow in the quiver when dealing with Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

WHAT IS VIP AND HOW DOES IT WORK FOR MOLD ILLNESS, TOXICITY AND CIRS?

Finally, we have come on to VIP peptide.

VIP is the champion peptide for Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS, as recognised by the discoverer of Mold Illness, Dr Shoemaker.

My first formal training with Mold Illness was under Dr Shoemaker, and I have a lot of respect for this gentleman and his contribution to medicine.

Without Dr Shoemaker, none of us would have ever known about Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS, and hundreds of thousands would be left sick and ill.

Just like alpha-MSH, in Mold Illness, VIP is knocked out, which has humongous complications and inevitably starts the cascade of illness.

VIP is a 28-amino-acid peptide primarily produced in the hypothalamus.

The impact of VIP is far, far-reaching.

VIP was initially discovered in 1960s and labelled as a vasodilator.

However, now we understand that VIP has multiple physiological and pathological effects on the development, growth, and control of neuronal, epithelial, and endocrine cell functions that, in turn, regulate ion secretion, nutrient absorption, gut motility, glycemic control, carcinogenesis, immune responses, and circadian rhythms.

VIP is now thought to be as a crucial neuropeptide.

VIP was first used in CIRS patients in November, 2008.

The use of VIP has revolutionised the care of CIRS.

As I trained under Dr Shoemaker, I can understand that VIP not only corrects the symptoms and proteomics seen in affected individuals but also corrects grey matter nuclear atrophy and the transcriptomic (gene activation and suppression) abnormalities that are the ultimate source of this illness.

I cannot fathom expressing the importance of VIP when successfully treating Mold Illness, Toxicity and CIRS.

We've covered the fundamental aspects of Peptide Therapy for addressing Mold Illness, Toxicity, and CIRS.

If I were to recommend a comprehensive stack that I believe would be effective in addressing these issues, this would be it.

However, if you're focusing on the essentials, always, always (always) keep in mind VIP!

Nonetheless, the world of peptides is vast, with hundreds of options available.

The wisest course of action would be to collaborate with a practitioner like myself to create a personalised Peptide Therapy program tailored to your unique needs.

This is particularly crucial if you are a complex and sensitive individual.

Peptides can be quite challenging to use effectively, as each one necessitates its own specific dosing protocol and timing regimen.

Moreover, it's important to remember that when dealing with Mold Illness as a whole, Peptide Therapy serves as a complementary approach to the clinical standard protocol developed by Dr. Shoemaker.

Don't overlook the importance of this comprehensive treatment plan!
